Ali is a registered dietitian with a passion for nutrition’s role in supporting one’s health and well-being. Ali has a Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition, and Health specializing in Dietetics from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria. She has worked in various areas, including population health, lifestyle medicine, oncology, sports nutrition, and behaviour change research. She has co-authored over ten peer-reviewed journal articles and two book chapters and continues to enjoy an active role in research. Ali takes a client-centered approach and enjoys empowering and supporting people to find effective and sustainable nutrition strategies.
Ali grew up on Vancouver Island, competing in a variety of sports with a particular love for field hockey and golf. She competed on the University of Victoria women’s golf team for four years and played on mini-professional tours after graduation. Ali continues to pursue various competitive endeavours from marathons to triathlons, golf tournaments, and anything in-between.
In her spare time, you can find Ali out hiking with her dog Rogue, training for an upcoming event, or experimenting in the kitchen with cookie recipes under the watchful eyes of her 4-month-old daughter.
